What’s in Motion
In its current state, The Outdoor Project is a curated, seasonal publication highlighting inspiring stories, exceptional individuals, and the next generation of innovations in outdoors sports. We are dedicated to inspiring tomorrow’s generation of adventurers by highlighting the remarkable achievements of today’s athletes, artists, and creators.
Publications are broken up by the four seasons of the year, each containing multiple issues. Issues will feature content ranging from Q & As with athletes and creators, written pieces on movements that push the limits of innovation and sport, gateways to get involved in local communities, and quick links to media, events, or campaigns aligning to the mission of The Outdoor Project.
What’s Next
In the long term, I hope to see The Outdoor Project grow into more than just a publication. I believe community is one of the strongest forces for change and fostering successful relationships and endeavors. My vision for The Outdoor Project is two-fold:
1.) Create a private community of creators (photographers, filmmakers, artists, and brand innovators) and doers (athletes, guides, and conservationists) that promotes the next generation of creative work. Help budding creators grow their platform by connecting them with mentors, an existing follower base, and more subject matter for their craft.
2.) Expand past the professional benefits and turn the “community” into a “club.” There’s extensive crossover in the world of skiing, fly fishing, mountain biking, hiking, and the art forms around them; partially because these activities are seasonal, but also because those that are attracted to these sports, are often go-getters and adrenaline junkies. But, the issue… these activities are expensive and doing them to the fullest comes with a large barrier to entry. My dream is to expand The Outdoor Project to an invite-only, subscription based club that plans, organizes, and manages global outings. Members have access to fly fishing in the Seychelles, heli-skiing in the Dolomites, and exploring uncharted lakes and rivers in Alaska… all while creating relationships and gaining inspiration for their next project.
